March 28
— BAGHDAD (Reuters) - At least six new blasts rocked the
outskirts of Baghdad on Friday morning following a night of
intensive bombing in and around the Iraqi capital, a Reuters
reporter said.
Some anti-aircraft could be heard as the explosions pounded areas
to the east and south of the capital, correspondent Nadim Ladki
said.
Residents said it was one of the heaviest nights of U.S.-led
bombing yet seen in the war, now entering its ninth day.
